Tom Deutsch – Personalized, Helpful Inspections
Thank you for considering Deutsch Home Inspection. My name is Tom Deutsch and I am an InterNACHI certified, bonded, insured and Ohio-licensed Home Inspector. Every home is unique – and so should be each inspection.
My mission is to provide stand-out, high-value inspections tailored to your needs, whether you are a first-time home buyer or an experienced investor.
When you hire Deutsch Home Inspection, your report will be written, not stamped out instantly with a cookie cutter. We offer our experienced point of view and advice, not just disclaimers. I provide relevance and context for problems I find on the property:
- Is this an owner-modified property with lots of DIY repairs? I’ll have my eye out for signs of problems that may not be apparent such as inadequate materials, fastening, finishing or site prep that may lead to expensive damage later.
- Does the property feature a special setting or striking architecture? Since the exterior speaks to the value of your potential investment, I will note areas outdoors requiring specialized or costly maintenance.
- Have you told me you would intend to replace the furnace and ductwork? I’ll still give you the relevant information for the current system so that you can make informed choices, but I’ll also point out any restrictions I see that could complicate installation of a new system.
My love of buildings and structures took hold early. My father was a full-time firefighter and a part-time builder/handyman. From him, I learned not only how to swing a hammer and sling drywall mud, but more importantly I absorbed an understanding of how buildings work. Taking things apart and putting them back together is a great way to demystify, and so I became familiar with electrical wiring, framing, finishing and plumbing, which has served me well as a homeowner and in business.
